Find Your Spot in Helena
The first month of the year was an exciting one for the Find Your Spot campaign. We partnered with the City Parks and Recreation to highlight their high school broomball activities, which will be going on every Friday night at Memorial Park. We also partnered with Narrate Church to provide a free night of skiing at Great Divide. And last, but not least, we continued our ongoing activities with the YMCA and the library, which included the library’s First Friday movie night, the YMCA’s Second Saturday event and their semi-formal winter dance.
Have no fear, we’re not stopping there. We have plenty of irons in the fire for the coming month. On top of the continuing opportunities provided by the YMCA, library and Parks and Rec, we will be offering a free evening of skiing for middle school students on Friday, February 22nd. One hundred students from both middle schools will have the opportunity to receive a free lift ticket, rentals and transportation, courtesy of Great Divide and the Great Divide Ski Patrol. We are also helping host a city-wide dodgeball tournament with middle school and high school brackets (as well as adult brackets) on March 9th in the Capital High School gym. So keep your eyes peeled for the Find Your Spot paint splatter, cause there’s a lot going on, and you don’t want to miss a thing.
