Christmas and Holiday Activities

During December Prevention promoted on social media: National Impaired Driving Month, Seasonal Affective Disorder and Holiday Mocktail recipes. We also sponsored a page in the annual Malta Chamber Christmas Coloring Book distributed to all youth within Phillips County.

Gina partnered with Malta Kiwanis in assisting youth with decorating cookies at the Malta Kids Club Annual Santa’s Workshop. Prevention also provided each family with a fun Christmas bag, filled with some sweet treats, a mini coloring book & crayons, Play Doh, ParentingMontana.org information & a Let’s Face It pen, along with some holiday information from the Malta Merchants.

Malta held its first ever Christmas Cruise, encouraging the community to decorate their homes and/or property for families and friends to hop into the family car and cruise the neighborhoods, listening to Christmas music and taking in the twinkling lights and decor. Prevention sponsored Christmas music played over the local radio station during this fantastic event! Some houses provided free hot chocolate to the passersby. There are already plans being made for next year!
