Start with that simple statement and remember it every time you think about eating some junk food or grease or sugar or prefab microwave meals.
Some years ago I had a highly successful wrestling coach ask me if I could help his top ranked program with some dietary advice. He recounted a story of finding his top athlete who had just barely made weight in the lock-er room eating a bag of Boston Crème donuts and washing them down with a quart of Cola. Unfortunately that pre match meal was not going to have any positive effect on performance.
