Spring Fling

On April 5th & 6th, Dawson County held its annual Spring Fling event in the EPEC community center. Prevention held a booth full of information on youth marijuana and alcohol use, give aways, games and prizes! The most successful (and fun!) part of the booth was the kid’s mental health jeopardy game. It had 5 categories and levels, with each level having a different prize for answering the question, such as; chalk, jump ropes, journals and stickers! I also had an adult spin wheel of mental health questions, relating to their children, which was also a hit!  It was awesome to see children have these conversations, and an amazing opportunity for families to start these types of conversations to continue at home!
