Anna Schreck Honored

Anna was unable to attend as she was on vacation in Europe.

Sara Mahoney nominated Anna Schreck, Block Grant, Mineral County, for outstanding recognition as a Prevention Specialist for all of her work in getting the evidence-based program Digital Citizen’s Academy implemented in all of Mineral County’s school districts starting in the fall of 2024.  Anna is passionate about prevention in her smaller communities and has worked to create and sustain relationships with all three school districts.  She worked with her agency, TA, and BHDD to secure the funding and worked with DCA creator Dr. Lisa Strohman and her colleagues and school administrators to attend meetings, coordinating times and dates that work for all.  Anna takes it upon herself to educate herself on current prevention and brain development education that is relative to her career in prevention.  Anna has also reached outside of her region to attend and work with other regions as she wants to connect with prevention across the state. 

Anna also succeeded in getting all of the school districts to complete the 2024 Montana PNA.  This also included her going to each school the day the surveys were given and helped administer and proctor as needed.  

Anna is an amazing Prevention Specialist and should be recognized for all she has added to Mineral County.
